Mr. Space joined Sankaty Capital Aviation as CEO and Co-Founder in January, 2002. Since 1999 Mr. Space was President of Reliance Aviation, a Fort Lauderdale-based aviation service company providing aircraft fueling, maintenance, avionics, charter, sales and management. During the 30 years prior to joining Reliance, Mr. Space held various senior management positions with several national and international aviation-related businesses, including multi-location FBO’s. He is a graduate of Flight Safety, has logged more than 8,000 hour of flight time, is A.T.P. type rated in seven jet aircraft and helicopters. Mr. Space currently serves on the Board of Adjustment for the City of Coral Gables, is a past Chairman and Director of the National Air Transportation Association and has served on several other aviation-related boards and committees.
